The Southeast Valley encompasses six cities: Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Ahwatukee and Apache Junction. These six booming cities are among the fastest growing areas in Greater Phoenix, and each holds its own style yet still keeps the fun and friendly feel of the Southeast Valley.

Tempe sits at the north end of the region, nestled in the center of Greater Phoenix, making access to the rest of the Valley extremely easy. The feel of Tempe is distinct. Arizona State University resides in its center, giving the city an artsy college town atmosphere paired with the development of parks and planned communities.

Mesa is a perfect blend of all the southeast cities, with a unique historical background, close access to the rest of Phoenix and plenty of schools, shopping and entertainment to fulfill any resident’s needs.

Chandler is one of the Valley’s newest cities, but it’s growing up quickly. Shopping, high-tech industry and numerous subdivisions comprise this city filled with a diverse history.

Its neighbor Gilbert holds similar appeal, but with a smaller, rural charm as its backdrop. Its agricultural beginnings are still reminiscent to the heart of Gilbert, coupled with an abundance of recreational opportunities.

Queen Creek offers the quaintness of small town living with the benefit of being close to a big city. A true family community, Queen Creek also gives nature lovers their fill with backyard proximity to the San Tan, Goldmine and Superstition mountains.

San Tan Valley was formerly a part of Queen Creek but has broken off and formed its own identity. Away from the hustle and bustle of the valley but close enough for a commute to Phoenix it has experienced a huge growth in population.

Ahwatukee is actually in Phoenix but nestled in the foothills south and east of Phoenix proper it has formed its own identity. Know for golf courses, outdoor living and lakes it has become a great area to live in.

Apache Junction is a desert community, home to the awe inspiring Superstition Mountains and sitting as the easternmost city in Greater Phoenix. Rooted in history, Apache Junction is also home to many seasonal residents bringing in fresh faces with the change of temperature.
